I very much enjoyed this mystery with the Navajo sleuths Jim Chee and Joe Leaphorn—though reading it was not quite as much of an accomplishment as reading Skinwalkers in French. It’s an appealing and enjoyable way of learning about New Mexican contemporary culture (circa 1995) in a mystery setting.
